During the four years of the Great War, 1914-1918, over 61,000 Canadians were killed or died of wounds and disease. Of this number, thirty-eight individuals from Wingham and area died serving their country and the Empire. Today, their names are engraved on the town's War Memorial. Each November 11 these names are honoured at the Remembrance Day Service. Today, over one-hundred years after the Armistice, no one hearing the names has any direct memory of these warriors. "Unforgotten: Thirty-Eight Memories" relates thirty-eight unique stories that give expression to each individual. Each account seeks to relate their hopes, hardships and sacrifice. The goal of this narrative is to ensure the life of each one is unforgotten in the passage of time.
